Long Island housing stock runs old, and plenty of it is still heated by boilers that were in the basement long before the current owner bought the building. Those systems can run well for decades with the right service, and they fail badly when they are ignored. We repair and replace gas and electric furnaces, steam and hot water boilers, and heat pumps, and we service the controls and safeties behind most no-heat calls.
In a January cold snap a dead boiler becomes a frozen pipe problem within hours, which is why emergency heating service runs overnight and on holidays right through the winter.

Most of the air conditioning problems we get called in to fix on other people's work come down to the same two things. The system was never sized to the building, and nobody looked at the ductwork. A unit that is too large short cycles, never pulls humidity out of the air, and wears its compressor out early. We do the load calculation first, then talk about equipment.
On the repair side we handle refrigerant leaks, compressor and capacitor failures, frozen coils, drain line backups, thermostat and control board faults, and the noise complaints that turn out to be a failing blower bearing. A maintenance agreement covers the spring tune-up that keeps most of those calls from happening at all.
